Large infrastructure works

Tunnels

The air conditioning of the tunnels, whose excavation project extensions can develop for several kilometers, is one of the most recent applications of cooling technology.

The manufacturers of cooling systems have developed specific technological solutions, optimized for the variables of the construction site.

The most widespread solutions consist in the progressive displacement, at regular intervals into the tunnel under construction, of a series of air treatment units fed with chilled water produced by water-cooled units.

The limit of these applications consists in the complexity of the connection works with the outside.

Our solution consists instead in centralizing the production of air conditioning by means of a monobloc chiller to be installed in series to the primary delivery ventilation system on the front of the excavation, without modifying its constructive and dimensional characteristics.
